Our thriving Chess Club meets weekly after school on a Thursday and is run by Mrs Babb. Our chess teams compete in County and National competitions. Several of our players are in the Lincolnshire Under-9 and Under-11 chess teams and compete regularly in inter-county matches.

In 2008 our Under-9 and Under-11 teams both qualified to compete in the National semi-finals held in Prestatyn, North Wales.

Saturday 27th November – Stamford Chess Tournament, Under 9 and Under 11, Stamford Junior School

Saturday 4th December – Nottingham Friendly, County Teams match (by invitation – We will be fielding a reduced size squad at Under 11, Under 9 and Under 11 Girls)
