After School Events

After School Activities

We have a range of clubs, including art, dance, drama, netball, rounders, multi-sports and chess. Most of these take place in the afternoon immediately after school.

Children in Year 6 are invited to take a course leading to the Cycling Proficiency Certificate. Members of staff lead some clubs, and others are taught by visiting specialists.

Chess

Our thriving chess club meets weekly after school, and our chess teams compete in County and National competitions.

In 2008 our Under-9 and Under-11 teams have both qualified to compete in the National semi-finals held in North Wales.

Several of our players are in the Lincolnshire Under-9 and Under-11 chess teams and compete regularly in inter-county matches.

Music Lessons

A tutor visits each week to give lessons in a variety of instruments. Currently pupils are learning to play the cornet, trumpet, saxophone, clarinet, flute, guitar and keyboard. Pupils are given the opportunity to take examinations of the Associated Board of Music.

Manby Kiddie Care School Club
Manby Kiddie Care School Club operates for children aged 4 – 11 years after school and in the holidays.

The Club started at the school in January 2007, and is run by Mrs Georgina Pepper who is a childminder with many years of experience (her home-based child care was recently classified as “Outstanding” by Ofsted).

The Club provides a variety of activities in a homely, relaxed and caring environment. Opening times are 3.15 pm – 6.00 pm after school, and 8.00 am – 6.00 pm during school holidays. Before-school care can also be arranged.

For further information, please contact Mrs Georgina Pepper on 01507 327236.
