The Foundation Stage children (age 3 – 5 years) have their own unit within the school in which they can work and play. This includes a large space for outdoor play with covered areas so that the children can get outside even on wet days! Inside the children benefit from a large recently refurbished room that is arranged to provide areas for both nursery and reception children. Our children also have their own bathroom and kitchen, an office and large storeroom complete the facilities.

We are also able to utilise the facilities within the rest of the school and the children enjoy visiting the library, using the hall for a variety of activities and calling in at Mrs Pringle’s office to share their achievements with her! All this means that transition between the nursery, reception and Year 1 runs smoothly and our children move confidently on to the next phase of their education.

At Grimoldby School the Foundation Stage children have fun and enjoy their learning. The staff work hard to maintain an interesting and stimulating environment. The Foundation Stage teachers are Mrs Forsyth and Miss Dent.
